Reliable Healthcare

The Morrow County Hospital- managed by OhioHealth - is a 79-bed not-for-profit hospital located in Mount Gilead that provides acute medical and surgical services, obstetrics and a long -term care facility.  The Hospital also offers an array of community education programs including smoking cessation, diabetic education, womanhood topics, exercise, weight control, the annual Health Fair and many more.

Education in Morrow County includes four primary school districts - Cardington, Highland, Mount Gilead and Northmor.  Whetstone School, located in Mount Gilead provides education opportunities for mentally or physical challenged children.

Several Technical and vocational schools - such as Tri-Rivers Career Center, Marion Technical College, Pioneer Career and Technology Center, Knox Career Center and North Central Technical College - are easy to commute to within the county. Also , Morrow County is within an hour's drive to The Ohio State University main campus (Columbus) and the Marion and Mansfield branch campus, Ohio Wesleyan University, Mt. Vernon Nazerene College and Kenyon College.

Natural Beauty

Mount Gilead State Parks offers camping, fishing, boating and picnicking.  More than three miles of trails provide opportunities for exercise, nature study and wildlife observation.  Morrow County is also located within a short distance of many other recreational areas such as the Delaware Wildlife Area, Delaware State Park, Mohican State Park and Clear Fork Reservoir.
